Peel added to UK pop Hall of Fame

Late DJ John Peel will be made an honorary member of the UK Music Hall of Fame, in a Channel 4 season that will also study his musical passions.

The BBC Radio 1 DJ will join musicians including Bob Dylan as new entries to the Hall of Fame, which honours outstanding contribution to music.

A live induction ceremony will follow John Peel's Record Box, looking at the singles that meant most to him.

The autumn season coincides with the first anniversary of Peel's death.
