Moment Musicaux

Stephen Kovacevich

Some music you listen to so much that it etches itself into your memory. This gentleman has provided me with some of the best imprints.

I have a tape of the Radio 3 broadcast of a Bath Festival concert I was at in 1992(ish). He played Schubert's Moments Musicaux, the Tempest Sonata and Op110. The sound is all wobbly from over use but I have a near perfect version which runs in my head when I need it. Occaisionally - like just now - it kicks in unprompted and makes a happy surprise in a day of frantic computery nonsense.
